Using Product Recommendations To Increase Your Bottom Line

In affiliate marketing, there are many ways in which you can increase your earnings and maintain the account that you have worked so hard for already. Most of the techniques and tactics can be learned easily. No need to go anywhere and any further. They are available online, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

One of the more important ways of increasing affiliate marketing bottom line and sale is through the use of product recommendations. Many marketers know that this is one of the most effective ways in promoting a certain product. If the customers or visitors trust you enough, then they will definitely trust your recommendations. Be very careful in using this approach, though. If you start promoting everything by recommendation, your credibility will actually wear thin. This is seen especially when recommendations are seemingly exaggerated and without much merit. Do not be afraid to mention things that you do not like about a given product or service. Rather than lose any points for you, this will make your recommendation more realistic and will tend to increase your credibility.Furthermore, if your visitors are really interested in what you are offering, they will be more than delighted to learn what is good about the product, what is not so good, and how the product will benefit them. When you are recommending a certain product, there are some things to remember on how to make it work effectively and for your advantage.

Sound like the true and leading expert in your field.

Remember this simple equation: Price resistance diminishes in direct proportion to trust. If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche, they are more inclined to making that purchase. On the other hand, if you are not exuding any confidence and self-assurance in endorsing your products, they will probably feel that same way and will go in search of another product or service which is more believable.

How do you establish this aura of expertise? By offering unique and new solutions they would not get anywhere else. Show proof that what you are promoting works as promised. Display prominent testimonials and endorsements from respected and known personalities, in related fields of course.

Avoid hype at all costs. It is better to sound low key and confident, than to scream and seek attention. Besides, you would not want to sound unprofessional and have that thinking stick to your potential customers and clients, now would you? Best to appear cool and self-assured at the same time.

And remember; prospects are not stupid. They are actually turning to experts and may already know the things that you know. If you back up your claims with hard facts and data, they would gladly put down hundreds, or even thousands worth of money to your promotions. But if you don’t, they are smart enough to try and look at your competitors and what they are offering.
While recommending a product, it is also important that you give out promotional freebies. People are already familiar with the concept of offering freebies to promoting your won products. But very few people do this to promote affiliate products. Try to offer freebies that can promote or even have some information about your products or services.

Before you add recommendations to you product, it is given that you should try and test the product and support. Do not run the risk of promoting junk products and services. Just think how long it took you to build credibility and trust among your visitors. All that will take to destroy it is one big mistake on your part.If possible, have recommendations of products that you have 100% confidence in. Test the product support before you begin to ensure that the people you are referring it to would not be left high and dry when a problem suddenly arouse.
Have a look at your affiliate market and look at the strategies you are using. You may not be focusing on the recommendations that your products need to have. You plan of action is sometimes not the only thing that is making your program works.

Try product recommendation and be among those few who have proven its worth.

3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication. There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day. Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do. Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving…

US temporarily bans short selling of stocks

I dont know about you, but I have a few stocks and this is bad new for me :(

WASHINGTON (AFP) — The US Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday temporarily banned short selling of shares in certain companies in emergency action aimed at boosting investor confidence amid financial turmoil.

The SEC said it took the action in concert with its British counterpart, the Financial Services Authority, which announced similar action on Thursday.
The move covers 799 financial institutions and was made "to protect the integrity and quality of the securities market and strengthen investor confidence" amid turmoil on world financial markets.

The ban on short selling is due to end on October 2 but could be extended by up to 30 days, the SEC said.

In addition to moves in Britain, Ireland and Switzerland took similar actions on Friday.
"The Commission is committed to using every weapon in its arsenal to combat market manipulation that threatens investors and capital markets," SEC chairman Christopher Cox said in a statement.

"The emergency order temporarily banning short selling of financial stocks will restore equilibrium to markets," he said.
Short selling occurs when investors sell stock they do not yet own in order to profit later from an anticipated fall in prices -- often contributing to the price fall.
"This action, which would not be necessary in a well-functioning market, is temporary in nature and part of the comprehensive set of steps being taken by the Federal Reserve, the Treasury, and the Congress," Cox said.

US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke met with Congressional leaders late Thursday in an effort to hammer out a plan to rid financial institutions of bad assets at the root of the current credit crisis.

US media reports said the finance officials and lawmakers were considering a bailout by taxpayers like that used in the savings and loan crisis of the 1980s and 90s.
The SEC also announced temporary measures that require some institutional money managers to publicly report their new short sales in certain securities, and ease restrictions on the issuers of stocks to repurchase their securities in a bid to help restore market liquidity.

Before the beginning ...

Before you can have a successful home based business, you must first possess 3 "intangibles."
These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

===> Intangible 1 <===

First, you must have a strong WHY.

Why MUST you have a successful home business? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box (laptop computer) that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in a home based business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

===> Intangible 2 <===

You must BELIEVE that it is possible.

If you don't believe that it's POSSIBLE for you to have a successful home based business or make your living from home, you won't. It's that simple.

For me, figuring out that it was possible was just a matter of realizing that many other people were ALREADY making great money working from home. If they could do it, I could too. It would just be a matter of figuring out what those people were doing and then adapting it to my situation.

There is no shortage of undeniable PROOF that people (millions of them) are making money working from home. Just get online and do some research and you'll find countless testimonials and stories of REAL PEOPLE making real money on the Internet. Or head to your local bookstore and you'll find the same documented evidence of this fact. Truth is, it's getting easier and easier to make money with your own home based business.

I've always said that "affiliate marketing" (a simple way to make money from home) is the job of the future. In the old days, you had to go to a potential employer, apply for the position and hope for the best. Now you can simply go to any company you want, fill out their affiliate application and start work immediately. Affiliates are the new working class. In fact, making money with affiliate programs or making your living on the Internet is WAY MORE than possible. It is pretty much (or will be soon enough) unavoidable now. Affiliate marketing is the "job" of the future that's already here TODAY.

===> Intangible 3 <===

You must be willing to MAKE THE LEAP.

Ready, FIRE, then aim... This is the operating philosophy you MUST adopt to succeed with a home based business.

That's backwards for most people who like to aim before they fire. The fact is that home based business success is a moving target... The only thing constant about it is change. You need to stop analyzing the game and simply jump into it. You can't learn from the outside... You have to be *IN THE RING* to truly understand and profit from it. In fact, this is a business where you can truly be earning WHILE you're still learning...

The lesson here is that you will never really be READY to start a home based business. You simply have to start one. It's like having children... You're never really ready, but when it happens you adapt and grow and therefore you succeed. This is what I call: "Making the Leap"!

The good news is that the cost of failure with having your own home based business is very small. In the "brick and mortar" world you need to evaluate things very carefully before you decide to open up a business. It's almost always necessary to invest thousands of dollars to get an offline business off the ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a successful business for less than $100. The Plug-In Profit Site is a great example of this where you can get your own money-making site setup free within 24 hours:http://www.webmoneymaker.org/pips.html

You simply need get IN THE GAME... Each moment that you stay "out there," you're wasting valuable time that you could be learning and skills necessary to build a successful home based business. In fact, if you're not in the game yet, you're ALREADY behind the times... Make the leap to starting and building a successful home business TODAY!http://www.webmoneymaker.org/specialoffer.html

Blogging for business

Harness the power of the medium:

The blog is by now a familiar entity, thanks largely to the efforts of David Bullard and the Sunday Times. While he focused on the amusing (and pejorative) issues around an online diary, it can be used as an effective business tool.

Forrester research says a blog can provide:
• Increased brand visibility
• Savings from customer insights
• Reduced impact from negative user-generated content, and increased sales efficiency

Here, immediately, there should be a caution. Only those companies where such developments are relevant should read on. Typically this might mean companies where development is rapid and the ability to stay on top of latest trends is linked to profitability – think stock traders or perhaps technology innovators. If your customers aren’t Net enabled, the blog is unlikely to be more than a personal diary.

Before you put pen to paper, remember the writer’s golden rule: Consider the audience and the medium. Then write for this audience and medium. Writing is a skill, one which not everyone has. If your blog is to achieve its goals of demonstrating business savvy, insight and capability, it had better reflect competence, ordered thoughts and communicate something of value to the reader – otherwise you will be consigned to the ignominious category of ‘scrofulous nerd’, invented by Bullard.

Getting started is a pretty simple matter. Navigate to an appropriate webspace, create a profile and start typing. It really is as simple as that.
The choice of webspace is of consequence; you do want to project a professional image. So, look for an industry portal relevant to your line of business (if there is one) or choose something neutral, like www.blogger.com. Avoid the explicitly ‘social’ ones, like www.myspace.com or www.facebook.com; use these for personal rather than business blogs.

Marketing the blog is something of a science in itself; Bullard had the excellent forum of the Sunday Times to punt his effort (which elevated his ‘bullog’ to the top 10). You are unlikely to enjoy the same privilege. You can attract readers by emailing them and alerting them to your efforts. List your blog on www.technorati.com, which indexes blogs. Enable comments, and comment on the blogs of others; participate in Web discussions and forums .There are literally millions of blogs therefore, you had better write something of value to attract repeat viewers.

Website Must-haves

If you include all these elements on your site, you'll be well on your way to creating a platform that attracts the sales you need

The simpler and more user-friendly your site is, the more sales it will generate. It's as simple as that. So you should always be thinking about how you can remove any unnecessary clutter, confusing links or visual eyesores to let your sales copy stand out.

In order to see what works and what doesn't, below you'll find a list of the 10 critical elements your site should include:

1. An Attention-Grabbing Headline. The first thing people see when they visit your site should be a compelling headline that describes the most important benefit your product or service offers. The headline is the key element of your site. It's what will persuade visitors to stick around and check out what you have to offer.
Your headline should be well-written – clear, concise and to the point. It should also be enticing – you want to pique your visitors' interest and make them eager to learn more about what you're selling. You can do this by emphasising what your product or service can do for them. Use a large font size, bolding, italics, a different colour – whatever suits the style of your site.

2. User-Friendly Navigation. Nothing will drive customers away faster than confusing or complicated navigation! Your customers should be able to know where they are on your site at all times, and should easily be able to find pages they've already visited.
Make sure your navigation bar or menu is clearly accessible and easy to understand. It should be exactly the same on every page of your site, and be located in exactly the same place. Your customers shouldn't have to hunt for it.
3. Effective Sales Copy. The words you use to describe your product and its benefits are the key to the success of your business. Remember, your sales copy is the only contact you'll have with the vast majority of your visitors.

4. A Clear "Call to Action". If you want people to buy your products or services, you have to tell them how to do it. Don't leave them guessing. You have to explain exactly what you want them to do, and you have to make it easy for them to do it.
If you want them to buy a product, present them with a call to action like this:
"CLICK HERE NOW to order your six-month supply of Product X."

5. Well-Chosen Images. Images can really help people visualise your products or services and their benefits. Be sure to include photos of every product you sell. Attractive product shots can really boost your sales.
If you have a lot of products for sale, use "thumbnails" that link to larger images. This will make your pages load more quickly. If you're selling electronically delivered products such as e-books or software, you may want to create simulated product shots to represent them. This makes your product more tangible to your visitors.

6. A Strong Opt-In Offer. In order to pursue a relationship with potential customers, you should collect their e-mail addresses by encouraging them to subscribe to a free newsletter or a free download. This will give you the chance to send them updates and information, develop relationships with them, and enable them to trust you enough to buy from you.

Your opt-in offer should be clearly linked to each page of your site or, if possible, actually included on each page. One less click means losing fewer potential subscribers.

7. Use Testimonials. The best way to establish credibility is to provide evidence that your product or service really works. And the best way to do that is to include testimonials from satisfied customers that explain how your product or service has helped improve their lives.

Be sure to include the names of your satisfied customers as well as where they live. You should also post a small picture of them beside their testimonials. This will personalise their messages, add credibility to their statements and demonstrate that they're real people who have enjoyed real benefits from your product.
For instant credibility, it's a good idea to have a few of your best testimonials featured right on your homepage. However, you should also have a separate testimonials page.

8. An "About Us" page. Include an "About Us" page that provides information about you, your staff and your business. Be sure to include pictures of yourself and your staff members.

9. An FAQ Page. It's a good idea to include a "Frequently Asked Questions" page on your site. This is where you'll list the questions most commonly asked by your customers and provide answers to them. It allows your visitors immediate access to the answers they need before they'll consider buying your product or service.

10. Your Contact Info. In order to close sales and establish your credibility, you have to provide full contact information on your site. This includes your mailing address as well as fax and phone numbers. Businesses that only post e-mail addresses on their sites come across as unprofessional and possibly even disreputable.

10 Intriguing Ways To Propel Your Online Sales

1. Add extra subjects to your web site. Most free
ad sites only allow you to submit your web site to
one category. This'll allow you to submit it to many.

2. Increase the perceived value of your product by
making your offer scarce. You could use limited
time bonuses, low prices, low quantities, etc.

3. Find out your competitions' weakness and use it
as your "Unique Selling Proposition". It's the reason
why people buy your products and not theirs.

4. Sell your products or services to a specific niche
market. For example, instead of selling your fishing
book to all fisherman, target it toward fly fisherman.

5. Test your advertising and marketing. You'll save
time, money and big headaches promoting the right
offer to the right group of people.

6. Persuade visitors to buy your product by telling
them the future. Tell them what'll happen with their
life in the future if they buy or don't buy.

7. Offer a free trial of your product for a set period
of time. Don't charge or bill them until they decided
to buy it. This'll take away any risk they have.

8. Create other web sites that draw your initial target
audience. Then you can lead your prospects to your
main web site by linking to your other web sites.

9. Inform people about your site or freebie through
e-mail announce lists. You can find them by typing
"e-mail announce lists" in any search engine.

10. Tell your visitors what they can avoid by buying
your product or service will motivate them to buy.
They may want to avoid pain, fear, danger, etc.

Networking Your Home Business within Circles of Influence

When you need an auto mechanic or an air conditioning repairman,
where do you turn for help? Sure, some people turn to the yellow
pages. But most will turn to friends and family and ask if they
know of anyone who can do the work.

The best place for your business to be positioned is to be the
business on the tips of the tongues of the people asked to make
the referral.

THE 300 RULE

Preachers, funeral directors and people in a few other
professions have learned "the 300 rule" through their own
personal experience.

"The 300 rule" states that the average person knows 300 people
on a friendly level. Wedding planners tend to make reservations
for 300 guests. Funeral directors tend to need to make room for
300 mourners. You get the idea.

DOODLING WITH CIRCLES OF INFLUENCE

Imagine your circle of friends, family and acquaintances, a.k.a.
your circle of influence. Now, draw your circle of influence as
a circle on a blank piece of paper.

Next, contemplate the people in your parents` circle of
influence. Some people who know your parents also know you.
Therefore, you will share some influence with the people your
folks know. Now draw your parents` circle of influence on your
piece of paper.

Your circle and your parents` circle will intersect in one area,
although the larger majority of the two circles will not
intersect. If you are like most people, the two circles on your
page at this point looks very similar to the MasterCard logo.

Now imagine drawing a page full of intersecting circles, each
circle representing the circle of influence of the people who
are within your own circle of influence. Imagine trying to
encapsulate an accurate rendering of where your circle and the
circle of your friends will actually intersect.

Some circles will share a large area of space, while others will
barely cover one another.

Actually, you can only imagine at this point what your piece of
paper will look like. The actual layout of the circles imagined
in this analogy is simply too overwhelming for the mind to
comprehend.

THE BIG PICTURE

300 multiplied by 300 equals 90,000. By using the analogy of
doodles in the previous section, the average person can actually
network with up to 90,000 people! Even factoring in the overlap,
one can still probably network with 50,000 people through their
own circle of influence!

Simply amazing, isn`t it?

HERE IS THE SECRET TO YOUR SUCCESS

There are 300 people on this planet whom you have a reasonable
amount of influence. Take advantage of this fact. Make darn sure
that every person within your own circle of influence KNOWS that
you are in business for yourself, and make sure they understand
what your business offers.

When your friend is asked to make a referral, they will
recommend you.

PASSIVE VERSUS ACTIVE REFERRAL NETWORKING

When people ask your friends for a referral and your friend
mentions your business, that is passive referral networking.

Active referral networking is when you can get your friends go
directly to their friends and say "Hey, I have a friend who just
started a business. If you are in need of what he offers or you
know someone who will need his services, would you please give
my friend a call or make the referral to his business?"

If you can get even a portion of the people in your own circle
of influence to actively refer your business, then you have
built the foundation to build an advertising campaign even more
effective than the average local television advertising campaign.

Think about that for a moment.

Most people only dream of reaching 50,000 potential customers
with their television advertising dollars. You now have the
knowledge to reach 50,000 people without spending a single penny.

Quote of the Day:

"Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot
by striking." -- William B. Sprague

Advertising Your Home Business on a Budget.

When you are starting out in a new home business and no one
knows who you are, one of the greatest challenges you will face
is how to drum up new business.

If there were not people in your community or marketplace that
you knew who needed your products or services, you probably
would not have started your business to begin with. But, once
you have talked to those who you personally knew who needed your
what you offer, then your next task is to find others who will
help keep your doors open.

Many people know that they must turn to advertising at some
point in the future, but they hope that day will be long down
the road. For some, this utopian concept will come to fruition.
But for the rest of us in the real world, we must come up with
creative solutions for meeting our home business advertising
needs while working within our budget.

Most people have a misconception about having to spend lots of
money in order to advertise their home business. When you start
out, you honestly will not have much money available for
advertising, and if you do, you should still spend it wisely.

Before you jump headfirst into the world of advertising, let me
share some of the lessons I have learned concerning this most
important topic.

LESSON #1

It does not have to cost an arm and a leg to advertise your home
business, unless you fail to plan and fail to test.

As much as is possible, you should always test your advertising.
If you jump in and start dumping tons of money in to advertising
without first testing your advertising, you might find yourself
broke and without sales at the end of the road. Most people who
commit this error write off their failure on the home business
they chose or the economy or any of a hundred other excuses.
But, if they are unwilling to take responsibility for their
mistake, they will never learn from their mistake. Don`t let
this be you.

LESSON #2

All testing should be done in blocks. If you begin to advertise
simultaneously in newspapers, radio and television, how will you
know which advertising is bringing people to your cash register?
You won`t. All you will know that something might be working,
but you will not know what is actually doing the trick.

Even if you tell people in your advertising to tell you how they
found you, my experience shows that fewer than 10% of the people
ever will tell you anything --- and those people who do may not
even get the facts straight! You cannot rely on your customers
to tell you what advertising is working for your home business.
You must put in the extra effort to know for yourself.

LESSON #3

Only when you have a proven and solid advertising portfolio
should you venture to drop big bucks in an advertising campaign.
Even then, you should be careful to keep further measurements to
determine how much the maximum advantage of an ad would be.
Sometimes you might be able to reach ten times as many people,
but depending on the kind of media and other factors, the
additional exposure will only generate twice as many sales. Keep
your eye attuned to situations like this to get the most from
your advertising dollars.

LESSON #4

As Lesson #3 illustrates, sometimes your best advertising
investment may actually cost you less money. When you are first
starting out, whether you are running a home business or a
business outside of your home, you need to be able to get people
talking and thinking about your business.

If you are busy testing ads in media`s such as the newspaper,
magazines, radio, and television, you need to learn ways of
promoting your business that do not require large cash
expenditures. A few examples are:

· Word of Mouth
· Business Cards
· Press Releases
· Non-Primetime Ads on Radio and Television

Here is more information about each type of low-cost advertising:

WORD OF MOUTH

This of course is the cheapest kind of advertising on the planet
--- it does not cost you anything. Ask your customers if they
know anyone who could also use your products or services. When
they are happy with your offerings and service, they will be
willing to tell you whom you can contact, and they will pass the
word for you.

BUSINESS CARDS

You can usually pick up 500 business cards for about $20. When
you do, hand them out. Do not give more than a couple of cards
to each person. If they need more cards from you, they will ask.

Some people are known to network with others on a regular basis.
Some of these people are also known to be always looking for an
extra few bucks. With these people, you can suggest to them that
if they write their name on the back of one of your business
cards and the card is presented to you, then you will pay a
referral fee to them. You do not have to offer much ---
sometimes one dollar is enough. Look at your home business and
your offerings and decide how much would be a good referral fee.

PRESS RELEASES

Press Releases are a good source for generating news about your
home business. The business editor at your local newspaper is
always on the lookout for a good business story to fill the
business news section of the newspaper.

Of course, the business editor understands the economics of
running a paper and is more inclined to run your story if you
buy advertising in his/her publication, but will still print
stories for special events and openings.

The important thing to remember about Press Releases is that it
must be constructed in the form of a news story. Even if you are
a sole proprietorship, quotes from you should be written in a
third person format: John Doe said, "Your quote here."

A Press Release should pack the most important information at
the beginning of the copy, and leave extra details towards the
end.

You should always provide the reporter who gets the task a
simple and easy way for him/her to contact you directly. Often
the reporter will want to contact you to get details that will
enhance their take on your story.

NON-PRIMETIME ADS ON RADIO AND TELEVISION

Believe it or not, some of the best rates for radio and
television are on the overnight and non-primetime venues. These
target times are not a total waste as they can easily keep the
infomercial people in business.

These off-hours are just less populated than the primetime hours.

Don`t be afraid to check your local radio and television rates
for non-primetime hours to see what bargains may exist. With
television, primetime is 7pm to 10pm. With radio, primetime is
8am to 5pm. This sure leaves a whole lot of hours available to
advertise your home business at discount rates!

IN CONCLUSION

When it comes down to it, there is a lot to understand about
advertising, but when you have the basic knowledge down pat,
everything will fall into place and bring more dollars to your
bank account.

Quote of the Day:

"Work spares us from three evils: boredom, vice, and need."

Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?

Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
Author of "Dotcomology - The Science of Making Money Online"

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work
from home and make money on the Internet. But
before you even turn on your computer, the first
question you have to ask yourself is whether
you’re cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the
investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running
their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen
and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next
Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an
e-business the time, the work and the money it
needs to get started and get growing, it can
happen for you too.

Promoting Through Article Marketing

One of the most effective ways I use to promote all my online businesses is through ‘article marketing’. This strategy involves writing and submitting articles to 100s or even 1000s of online article directory databases with links back to your online business.

Now, most article directories will not allow you to put live links in the article body itself, but you can put one or two of your own links in the article resource, or author bio box.To find examples of articles in every category imaginable check out ArticleDashboard. This is arguably the most popular article database.

I suggest you checkout the internet marketing and home business sections of ezine articles and browse other marketers’ articles for ideas for your own. There are two ways to submit your articles, either manually or using an Article Submission services or software. If you want to do this manually then you can find a comprehensive list of Article Databases at the link below: Article Database list

I personally use an article submitter software called Article Submitter to submit my articles to 100s of online directories.

Article marketing should be an integral part of any online business.

You can use this strategy to send targeted visitors to your online business site. Also linking to your own website from your articles is a great way to raise your search engine ranking. It has to be said that some article databases will not permit you to link to affiliate programs like PIPS and SFI from your article, so it is always better to promote PIPS or SFI through your own site.

Avoiding Information Overload

It's very common when you start with the Plug-In Profit site, or any other internet marketing project for that matter to feel overwhelmed with information, especially if you are new to this.
First things first - don't panic! Most people feel like this at some point or another. It does get easier, honest :-)

When I first started with my Plug-In profit site I had my moments of information overload. I knew absolutely nothing about internet marketing and would often find myself spending ages reading emails, browsing through websites, reading forums and aimlessly surfing the internet without achieving anything. Then I'd suddenly think "Arghh, there's so much to learn, how on earth am I going to do this!" and feel like I had a mountain to climb.

There are a few things you can do to try and ease these feelings:

(1) Stay positive - remember that everyone feels like this when they learn something new. You will never know everything. It will get easier.

(2) File your emails. When you start with the Plug-In profit site you will receive email training from Stone and the various affiliate programs that you have joined. You do not need to read all these emails right now. Sometimes when your inbox gets cluttered up this adds to your feeling of panic. Create some folders in your email program e.g. PIPS, Empowerism, SU, IMC, Traffic Swarm, Host4Profit. File all the emails into these folders immediately. This way everything will be much more organised and you will feel more in control.

(3) Make a to do list. Once a week or once a month have a think about what you want to achieve and write this down. Then list everything you need to do to achieve this, taking into account how much time you have available. Make sure there is time on your to do list for reading emails and training, especially in the beginning. Every day when you sit down at your computer focus on completing the tasks on your list.

(4) Follow the 30 days to Success. Stone's training program is an excellent way to get started. You don't have to do it all in 30 days though. Perhaps you can aim to do 2 days of the training each week, or more if you have time. This is exactly what I did when I started with the Plug-In Profit site and it works!

Finally, if you still feel overwhelmed, ask for help. Email your sponsor or make a post in the Plug-In Profit support forum. There are always plenty people in the forum who will be happy to help you out and encourage you.

To use or not to use - Safelists

What is safelists. Basically, a safelist is a group of people all willing to receive each other’s promotions via email --in the hopes that their promotion will generate more business. In other words, safelists are many, many "marketers" that have agreed to receive each other’s email. The drawback is that everyone is trying to sell and no one wants to buy. Some do buy, however, and that's your market. You just need something that other "marketers" will want or need. Currently, there are many tens of thousands of members to various safelists, and some are more effective than others. Also, there are different types (i.e. web-based and PC-based) that we will explore.

Safelists enables you to get your message out to thousands of potential customers every single day (in some cases) --without being accused of SPAM. SPAM is a big NO-NO... regardless of what anyone might tell you.

Unfortunately, this isn’t as effective anymore, seeing as there is many and I mean MANY safelists out there, everyone trying to convince you that they will generate you sales. If you want to use safelists, you are probably better off using paid safelists.

Here are some of the basic differences between free and paid safelists:

Free safelists are generally not as well maintained as paid safelists, meaning that the safelist owner rarely monitors what gets posted to the list and how often people post. This only makes sense because the moderators are not making any money; so they don't have an active interest.
Free safelists are generally more unreliable than paid lists. The free safelists typical use less than professional quality hosting, so they tend to be up one day and down the next. Stuff like this may cause you to waste precious time.

Free safelists generally attract people who are not looking to buy --they ONLY want to sell and usually are inexperienced safelist users.

A lot of people join safelists with junk email addresses, and don’t keep up on their email, so they get bounced from the list. The reason being is that they don’t have anything to lose, since they didn’t pay to join the list.

Paid safelists on the other hand are generally better maintained, and monitored because the list owner is making money to keep his subscriber base up to date.

Reliability and Reach are very important, but probably the most important factor is the REACH (that is the number of members the safelist has and how often you can email them). The reliability and reach of safelists vary greatly -even between free and paid categories.

For example, a Business World List free membership allows you to submit to 200 members in the database every other day. However a paid member is able to email to 30,000+ members every other day. That is worth the difference because you have to consider how many free safelists it would take to be able to email 30,000 members.

The same holds true for the other mentioned popular safelist known as Herculist. As a Herculist free member you are allowed to email 700 random member addresses. Although paying members with Pro Membership can send to 23,000+ members every other day.

Personally, I don’t use safelists. For me this is a bit of a waste of time. But other people have had some success with it

Till next time.

Traffic Exchanges - Do's and Don'ts

Today is my 6th day with my new Internet business and thus far I have had 1468 hits to my site. The best part is that I have 19 subscribers already. That meaning people that wanted to give me their name and e-mail address to become part of my newsletter (http://www.webmoneymaker.com/pips.html).

For a while now I've been signing on with safe list (checkout my next post in a day or two) and Traffic Exchanged every chance I get! PLEASE don't do this. My main reasons for this is:

  1. Now I get about 300-400 e-mails a day, which I had to setup a rule for to delete as they are downloaded.
  2. You will spend your whole clicking on links, browsing websites to gain credits, so that you can advertise your own site or banner. Again not worth it.

What I have found is 3 of the best ones that work for me and I would encourage you to use them as well. It takes only about 15 mins a day of surfing to gain credits and that is it. Here they are:

These three are unique advertising methods. First off, they don't cost you any money. You can sign up for free. So here is what makes them so unique and best to use.

Advertising Know How:
With advertising know how you can surf for credits as per usual with any other Traffic Exchanges, but if you surf 50 sites a day for 5 days out of 7, Advertising Know How will add one free referral to your account. This means within a month you can have at least 4 referrals in your down line, helping you to surf for credits to advertise. Not mentioning that if they upgrade to the pro account you will earn commissions. :)

Secondly, Advertising Know How have an option to add banners for your site, to your account. You can then convert your surfing credits to banner "impressions". These impressions is used to show your banner to people that are surfing. I use this option exclusively. Every 10 credits will earn you 1 000 impressions. Very nice right?

TrafficSwarm:
With TrafficSwarm you also check out sites to get credits, but what sets them apart is the fact that they give you an "startup url". This you can put in your browsers startup page and everything you open your browser, the browser goes directly to that "startup page" and you earn 1 credit. Now this might not sound like a lot, but I've tested this. For me this brings in 50 plus credits a day, without surfing any additional adds. Then if you refer people to there site and they sign up, you will again earn credits for your referral's views of sites, plus commissions if they sign up for the pro membership.

InstantBuzz:
With InstantBuzz it is even easier to earn credits for advertising. You simply install a little program that becomes an toolbar on your browser. Every time you visit a site, it will show you a new advertisement and that counts as 1 credit. Within writing this blog I've earn 130 odd credits. Simple as that, setup your account here, setup you ads in your account profiles, install the toolbar and that is it. Check in once a day to see your ads stats. :) PS: your antivirus program might see this as "Adware", which of course it is, seeing as it does show you ads. It DOES NOT contain any viruses or spyware. When prompted, simply add this program to you antivirus exception list.

Now just to make it clear, none of the people you refer needs to sign up pro membership with any of these kind of sites, just the extra credits you earn will be benefit enough!

These 3 sites have helped me a lot, but believe you me, it took a while to get to these three. Use them, they are free and will generate a lot of traffic to your site.

Till next time,
Happy Money Making!

Starting my own Internet Based Business

Copyright © Paul Bester
http://www.webmoneymaker.org/

-----------------------------------------------------------------
"We are at that point in time when a 400-year-old age is dying and another is struggling to be born - a shifting of culture, science, society and institutions enormously greater than the world has ever experienced. Ahead is the possibilities of the regeneration of individuality, liberty, community and ethics such as the world has never known and a harmony with nature, with one another and with the divine intelligence such as the world has never dreamed."
DEE HOCK
Founder of Visa
------------------------------------------------------------------

This past week I've taken the plunge to start my own Internet based business. After almost a year of studying, research and yes scepticism, I've decided to sign up with a guy with the name of Stone Evans. He had a system that intrigued me for quite a while. After all my research he was still standing on the top of my list of where I would like to go with my Internet based business.

Boy of boy was I in for a surprise. Everything on his sales page was brilliant, he made promises and stated facts, yes even the bad facts. Internet business isn't for everyone. If you are not willing to make the plunge and do the investment, either time of a bit of money, rather stick to you job. His system, anyone can do on a shoe string budget. That is one of the things that attracted me. Others promise loads of money and its not going to cost you anything. THAT IS RUBBISH! Nothing in life it for free ... well almost nothing... An e-book he has written is free and that was my turning point. After reading it, I just realised, I HAVE TO JUMP AT THIS!

So I've signed up and yes, 24 hours later, I had my fully setup website! That was AMAZING!!! After that I logged into my account on my own page and the more I read the more amazed I was. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was shown for me, all in a 30 days of success guide. Everything was outlined, step by step. He even setup an Auto Responder system for you, with 218 pre-written auto responders for you!! You don't need any experience or business knowledge. He shows you everything.

I've started with day one and couldn't stop to read, I went on to day two and day three and now, I'm at day 12, in 4 days. :) I've started everything and as I am writing this, I've had 441 hits to my site! Isn't that AMAZING!

I would HIGHLY recommend to start this own business for yourself. It will only cost you an dinner out a month and all you need is 6 referral sign ups and you are covered even for that! Mine is covered and it didn't take any convincing! This was just my friends, they jumped at the opportunity! So should you! Click my link below and see for yourself. But even if you just want to start with the e-book, here it is to download for free!

Happy Money Making!!

What is Network Marketing?

Multi-level marketing (MLM), also known as Network Marketing is a business distribution model that allows a parent multi-level marketing company to market their products directly to consumers by means of relationship referral and direct selling.

Independent unsalaried salespeople of multi-level marketing referred to as distributors (associates, independent business owners, franchise owners, sales consultants, consultants, independent agents, etc.), represent the parent company and are rewarded a commission relative to the volume of product sold through each of their independent businesses (organizations). Independent distributors develop their organization by either building an active customer base, who buy direct from the parent company and / or by recruiting a downline of independent distributors who also build a customer base, expanding the overall organization. Additionally, distributors can also earn a profit by retailing products which they purchased from the parent company at wholesale price.

Distributors earn a commission based on the sales efforts of their organization, which includes their independent sale efforts as well as the leveraged sales efforts of their downline. This arrangement is similar to franchise arrangements where royalties are paid from the sales of individual franchise operations to the franchisor as well as to an area or region manager. Commissions are paid to multi-level marketing distributors according to the company’s compensation plan. There can be multiple levels of people receiving royalties from one person's sales.
